A Dog's Life

In the article, "My Life as a Dog" Jonathan Foer. As an avid dog fan I agreed with a lot of the points the author brought up throughout the article.

I find myself learning from my dogs. I have learned patience and how to stay happy in life from my dogs. My dogs are happy just because of my company and vice versa for me, but when you take away a dogs freedom and ability to run free and socialize with other dogs that makes them sad.

Dogs require lots of care and social interaction. Getting them outside and running around is a key activity for a dog to get their hyperactivity out, without that they would cause chaos around their owners household resulting in a unhappy owner and an unhappy dog.

Having a leash rule from 9 pm- 9am reduces much time for exercise for a dog. Many people work late nights and start work early in the morning, which causes another problem for the owner and the dog for not having enough time to play and get exercise.

Dogs play an important role in many peoples lives. Their owners only want the best for them, but having rules prohibits owners from giving their best to their dogs.

  1. I agree 100% with you. I had the same thoughts on how dogs need to be able to be let off the leash. My dogs love being outside.
